Friday November 2nd:
We shall be organizing a bus tour to Gyeongju, which is a prized conservation site and served as the capital of the Silla Empire, which spanned over one thousand years. It is known for its extensive historical remains and will be of particular interest to those unfamiliar with Korean culture and history. The bus tour will include an English-speaking guide.
The buses will leave the Park Hyatt Hotel at 9:30am for Gyeongju. We shall visit Bulguksa (which serves as head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism) and Cheonmachong (one of the most famous tombs of the Silla Empire which was only excavated in 1973). Lunch will be provided during the tour and we shall aim to be back in the hotel for around 5pm.
At 6:30pm, transport will leave the Park Hyatt Hotel for our Welcome Dinner (dress code casual). In case you would prefer to go by yourself to the venue, details are: The Party, 24, Haeundaehaebyeon-ro 298beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, B1, Pale De Cz, Busan. This is a buffet restaurant with many different cuisines, so you will be able to find whichever food you particularly enjoy. There will be transport back to the Hotel after dinner however we also recommend a walk back along the promenade, weather permitting of course. There are also some nice bars in the nearby area too if you would like to stay out a bit later.
Saturday November 3rd:
The Big Day! – Dress Code: Lounge Suit
The Wedding Ceremony will start at 2pm in the Grand Ballroom on the 2nd Floor at the Park Hyatt Hotel. Please make sure you are there by 1:30pm so the Ceremony can start on time. You will find a seating plan just outside the main room and the hotel staff will be happy to guide you if you need any help. A gourmet lunch will be served during the Service, so make sure you have enough room for it! There will be a special Pyebaek Ceremony held afterwards in a nearby room, which is a traditional Korean Wedding custom. Usually this is only for immediate family only, however you are welcome to come and see this for yourself and take photographs. The Wedding will finish around 5-5:30pm, after which you are free to take a rest before the Evening Party.
The Evening Party will start at 7pm upstairs in the Drawing Room, which is on 33rd Floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel. Again the hotel staff will be happy to direct you there if needed. A standing cocktail buffet will be served at the Party, but not an official Dinner, for those of you who still have room after the Lunch. There will also be a free bar for wine and beer until 11pm and the Drawing Room offers spectacular panoramic views over Busan and the harbour. We hope you have a great evening.
Sunday 4th November:
There will be a Brunch served at the Drawing Room on 33rd Floor (same venue as the Evening Party) of the Park Hyatt hotel from 11am-1pm which you are very welcome to attend. Dress code: casual
